What's happening
Fenestration develops as the plant matures and each new leaf grows larger than the last. A young plant with small leaves hasn't reached that stage yet.
How to fix it
Be patient and give it bright indirect light. Adding a moss pole to climb encourages larger, fenestrated leaves as it matures.
What fixes it
- A balanced liquid fertilizer — Steady feeding in the growing season speeds it toward fenestrating size.
